Wanwan Kurniawan

PhD student

In my PhD I am using simulations and analyses of diverse fish observation datasets to explore whether we can estimate important life-history (mortality, growth, asymptotic size) and observation selectivity parameters using Bayesian methods. I will then aim to apply these estimates in size based stock assessment methods. My other goal is to advance size based population assessments for use with non traditional datasets, such as recreational angling, citizen science, app data, as well as underwater observations.
